Now, this dream is in near sight, as Kai Sotto a 20-year-old 7-foot basketball player, represents the Philippines as a candidate for the 2022 NBA draft on the 23rd of June, 2022, in hopes of being the pride of the Philippines if he gets accepted as a player of the prestigious NBA league.
The impressive skills, agility, and stamina of the phenomenal Filipino basketball player, Kai Sotto, captivates the heart of the coaches that pushed him to join. He finally took a step toward his ultimate dream as he declared his participation in the 2022 NBA draft. He heartily announced it on his Instagram post on Thursday, April 28.
“I have declared for the 2022 NBA Draft. Please pray for and support me during my quest to fulfill my ultimate dream,” wrote Sotto.
Kai’s previous play for the Adelaide 36ers of the Australian National Basketball League (NBL) was a deal, where he acquired an average of 7.52 points and 4.5 rebounds over 23 games. That drove him confidently to pursue the NBA drafts.
However, Despite Kai Sotto’s challenging times of not being on the list of early NBA draft candidates, which includes 36 international players, Kai’s flaming passion to join the NBA was not deterred by mere adversity. Instead, Kai took a shot to rejoin the 76th edition of the NBA draft on the 23rd of April, 2022 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York – and he was in.
